Witches Fly There

Witches Fly There explores magical healing and worldview in the East African country Zambia. Woven into modern Africa is a mythical dimension, which it is hard for us to perceive as anything but superstition.
This film leaves the prejudices behind and takes the viewer head first into the living mythologies of modern Africa.

Starting from the capital Lusaka, we launch a mad journey, in which doctors, witches, anthropologists, sorcerers, healers, quacks, exorcists and scholars all partake in a modern world, in which there is still room for spirits and demons, curses and luck, destiny and magic.
